If you have not used the services of an interior designer before, you may be worried about how the process will work, and more importantly what it will all cost you.

First Meeting

So, first things first: Give us a call and we’ll arrange a suitable time to meet you – usually at your home – to talk through what you’re looking to achieve, costs and timescales. This first meeting won’t cost you anything and you are under no obligation at this stage to proceed.

We know that time or rather the lack of it is a big problem for a lot of people so let us take away the stress and do it all for you! Here are just a few of the things we can do for you:

• We can source the right items like curtains, fabrics, colours, wallpaper, furniture, lighting and flooring for your project. No more weekends trailing around furniture stores! And because we know where to look for the quality items that you want, we can often get them for far less than what you would pay on the high street.
• If you don't know what look you want for your room, we can show you examples and suggest ideas for you. We bring samples to you in your home so you can see how they actually work in the room you are refurbishing.
• At Design Focus we have an address book bursting with reliable contacts that can get the work done for you. This means that you don't have the worry of trying to find a sub contractor that you trust to do the work in your home.
• If you’re too busy to sit in and wait for deliveries for your new room to arrive, we’ll be happy to arrange this for you. We can also wait in for contractors to turn up too! Our aim is to make sure you can get on with your life and leave the hard work to us.

Written Confirmation

After our first meeting, you’ll be sent written confirmation of what we’ve discussed and the design fees this will incur – people often tell us that it’s not as expensive as they thought it was going to be. Again, you still don’t have to proceed until you have returned a signed agreement to us.

We’ll work with you to capture the look you want to go for and then we’ll put all the suggestions and samples onto a sample board for you to see how they all work together. We can come up with two or three alternative boards for you so you can decide which ideas you like and you can even mix and match – if you tell us that you like an idea from one board, we can incorporate it into an idea on another board for you!

Once you’re happy with everything, we can do as much or as little as you want us to do. From organising and completing the whole project to just sorting out the curtains, nothing is too much trouble.
